About the Programs
These two half-day programs provide comprehensive updates in the areas of criminal law, procedure, evidence, and ethics. Leading experts will review recent developments from the Court of Appeals, search and seizure, and immigration law. There also will be a review of new legislation regarding bail, discovery, and speedy trial issues followed by a panel discussion of ethical issues facing prosecutors and defense attorneys. Each Friday program will cover different topics, and participants may register for one or both days.

This program offers 3.5 CLE credits in the State of New York. The credits are transitional and non-transitional and the categories are Professional Practice (2 credits) and Ethics (1.5 credits). Partial credit is not available.
Registration Information
The cost for each program is $60 for one half-day program or $120 for both programs, regardless of whether you attend for CLE credit.
Brooklyn Law School may offer financial assistance to participants who meet certain qualifications. Our CLE financial aid policy is available at www.brooklaw.edu/financialaid-cle.
The program is free of charge for Brooklyn Law School faculty, staff, and current students.

The annual CLPE program honors the late Professor Robert M. Pitler, a member of the Law School’s faculty from 1988 until his death in 2015. Professor Pitler was a leading scholar and practitioner in the area of criminal law who was beloved by generations of students and colleagues. Proceeds will benefit the Robert M. Pitler Criminal Justice Post-Graduate Fellowship, which supports loan forgiveness for lawyers dedicated to careers practicing criminal law in public service.
